It gets better...this looks a little crazy, I know! I usually pull it back..I'm working on it! :) Sara in all her Korean glory.

My new hairdooo!

I got fun new hair again. It is only braided like 2 in. then it is all spirally curls! :) I love it!

Christmas Eve.

Sarah, Nate and I went shopping at Kyobo and stopped at Starbucks for a little Christmasy treat!

Another tattoo........

Yes, this is another tattoo! It is in memory of my brother, Adam. It says Adam in Korean. I miss you little brother!

Our tree Christmas morning!

It looks like Santa came to Korea!

Looking at pictures from home!

Opening my box from my mommy and daddy! Looking at pictures....missing my family!

Christmas in Korea!

We went out for dinner in Chilgok for Steph's birthday! We found a Christmas tree to pose in front of. Good food, good friends and good times as always!

Breakdown....

Here we are hanging outside the shuttle bus, it broke down on the way home from Stephanie's birthday party at Outback! Only in Korea!

A Korean Christmas!

It's Christmas time in Korea!

I know he is weird....

Nate is starting to act like Sarah, he wants to be in every picture! But I love him, he was my shopping buddy today so I should be nice!

The last ornament...

I am getting ready to put the last ornament on the tree. I hope I do a good job!

My Christmas Crew!

This is what I'm working with, and I love it!

All by myself!

I put an ornament on all by myself! Aren't you proud of me?

Making food with the girls!

Catalina, Dana and myself hanging out in the Sky Lounge during the Christmas festivities.

Did someone say stuffing???

Here is Mo toasting the bread to make stuffing. I'm pretty sure she did this for at least 2 days! No, seriously every time I came back upstairs she was in the oven! I love you MO!

Sarah and her potatoes...

Sarah and Nate made the potatoes..do you think we have enough? No, seriously they didn't think we would have enough...we ate potatoes for a week and loved it! Yes, she peeled all of those...good job!

Turkey, turkey, turkey....

Here is how we cook turkey in Korea! Caroline cooked 3 turkeys for us in a convection oven. They were awesome...thank you again!

You know I love Mac & Cheese

Stephanie's amazing Macaroni and Cheese and I helped! :) We made most of our food in the kitchen cafeteria. It was great!

Our Feast, Korean style....

Here we are waiting patiently to get these pictures over with so we can eat some good food! It was soooo delicious!

One crazy Texan!

You can see the slingbox being watched on the wall behind him. This is Travis, another boy that enjoys watching football! Thanks for the football games.

Another Crazy Texan!

This is Tad, he is one of the Texans you record football games for mom and dad! He's all decked out including his rally towel for the game.

Getting some cardio after all the good food!

So, I've always wanted to play the drums. Thought I would start out slow with this one. :) I don't think I was that bad...

My diggs....

So, here it is...all the way at the end of the hall on the left....429...it's great!

All mine.

Just another picture of my room! I love having my own space.

Walking in....

Here I am walking into my room. Are you living the experience? Do you feel like you are in South Korea? :)

Heather I hope this helps.

This is my room. The patio is behind me and the bathroom is on the right and the door out is straight ahead. Now I hope you can visualize me when you talk to me.

The last?

I hope this is the last Korean bathroom I have. It will be strange to actually have a shower and tub when I return to the states. I apologize in advance if I shower on your bathroom floor! :) hehe

Pretty red bushes...

I just thought these were pretty. The colors are vibrant!

My favorite!

This is my favorite picture today. It is now my background on my computer. It looks like something from a post card.

Cattails???

I think of my parents when I see these things. I'm not sure if they are cattails but they are for me today! It is so peaceful out today......

Village from the other side.

Here is a shot of the village from the other side. The plane looks so small from here.

Woodpecker home!

There was a beautiful woodpecker but he kept flying around. I couldn't get a shot of him so I thought the next best thing would be his home. :)

Leaves...leaves...leaves

It is hard to get a shot of the trees without that huge main building in front of them. It was a beautiful day for a walk.

Looking off my patio.....

Here is a shot off of my patio. The fall colors are great, but not as good as MN or CO.

Morning of the Opening Ceremony.

Here I am in front of the main building the morning of Opening Ceremonies. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Glad to be part of it.
Daegu English Village

The plane, the plane!

I told you there was a 747 in front of my dorm room. I think this place will be lots of fun!

Looking out towards the pond.

Not much to say about this shot. I hope the village looks this nice in 2 weeks. :)

The entrance!

You can see the main entrance behind me. This is the rotunda area I guess you could call it. You can look down the glass pyramid into the situational area below. The coffee shop is right underneath it.

Immigration!

I love going through immigration. The kids will have real passports when they arrive and have them stamped throughout their week with us.

Sarah B. and Sara C.

Flying first class on Yeungjin Airlines. This is the only plane I can afford first class.

Pilot?

I'm pretty sure I could fly this thing. Wendy, this should be a breeze compared to the one we were in at the Air Force last summer!

Pet store or Zoo or Jungle????

That is truly the question. The pet store is more like a zoo if you ask me! Do you see the hippo in the background? What about the penguins, do they have these items in pet stores back home in the U.S.? Maybe I have been gone too long!

Here's Me.

I just really like this picture.

It could happen!

Here I am in the broadcasting classroom. I am telling you this place is amazing! Have I said that yet?

My 2nd job!

I think this could be my back up job if this gig doesn't work out! This is the transportation classroom. This room is huge! It makes me feel like I'm on the streets of New York.

My new band!!

My new band rockin' it out in the Mini Concert Hall. I have always wanted to play the drums! This is one of our classrooms. I think I will organize something like "School of Rock."

Karaoke Bang!

Did someone say Karaoke? I am listening to "September" right now on my I-tunes, Aunt Debbie does that ring a bell with you? I will rock that out in DEV! (Daegu English Village) Also known as DGEV (Daegu English Village) as well as YEV (Yeungjin English Village) I have no idea where I work???

Don't Ask??!!

Me, being a big dork in my office before going to the opening ceremony! I think I am mentally preparing!

Down to main event!

Sarah and Veronica ahead of me going down the pass. All the Korean women are dressed as flight attendants welcoming us to the ceremony. They do this for all the people that show up. It is a pretty big ordeal. They were practicing an hour before, saying a very formal "welcome" and bowing in unison. It is a very awesome culture!
